Who We Are
Young at Heart Daycare is a family child-care environment. Children open up a new world of opportunities for childcare professionals. Children are our future from the day they are born until adulthood. They should be allowed to express themselves as individuals and encouraged to play and work with others to increase their skills, development, and make healthy and conscious choices. Children in their 0-5 years of life need the FUNdamentals and enjoyment of being a child!
Meet Our Director
My name is Natanya Mitchell. I’m the owner and director of Young at Heart Daycare of California. My students affectionally call me “Auntie”. I was born and raised in Oakland; my entire education from primary school through college was completed in Oakland. I love how my family and my city raised me!
After several years within the public sector, I decided to open my own preschool in 2020. Young at Heart Daycare is a loving, caring, and social and emotional school. I know that having a strong preschool foundation prepares children for success.
